Today's Surgeon Appointment

Today is the day we see how his progress has been, and we will also get a date or at least more of a time frame on when his second surgery will be to put everything back together. Certainly we would love to hear that they want to schedule for next week, but it is a possibility that the surgeon will want to wait until RSV season is over, which is not until April. Caring for twins is hard on its own, but when you have to care for twins that are premature, one who has an ostomy, and also take care of an 8 year old, mostly by yourself because your lovely sweet husband in training works and goes to school full time, it gets a bit over whelming. Having to change the back every other day or when it starts to leak or fall off, burp (yes burp) the bag when it is full of air (baby gas), and make sure he doesn't cry (which is not easy to do) so his hernia doesn't get worse is what we go through everyday, and that is just with his ostomy and the hernia that has formed around it. So yes, I want the doctor to see us at 10 a.m. tomorrow for our appointment and then go have lunch and scrub in at 1 p.m. to do his surgery, but we know that is not realistic. Aiden needs prayers that his intestines have had enough time to rest and that no more of the intestine has died, and he has gained enough weight and the doctor is happy with his progress. I will update everyone tomorrow on what the plan is. So cross fingers, knock on wood, or do what everyone has done best thus far... Pray that we are on track for surgery to happen soon.
